You will arrive in Lhasa in the morning. You will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Day at leisure and acclimatization.

You will start your exploration of Lhasa with a visit to the Potala Palace- one of the most famous architectural works of Tibet. In the 17th century, it was rebuilt to its present size and ever since become the winter palace of Dalai Lamas. The construction took 50 years from its beginning to completion. The tour continues to the Jokhang temple located in the center of the old section of Lhasa.

The temple was built in the mid-7th century A.D. It has architectural features of the Tang Dynasty and also assimilated many features from Both Nepalese and Indian Buddhist temples. Enjoy walking around Barkhor bazaar- an old Tibetan Market at the end of the tour.

This morning drive to Drepung Monastery which is located in a 5 km west suburb of Lhasa. It was founded in 1416 and occupies an area of 250000 square meters with a fixed number of 7000 monks, is the largest monastery in Tibet. The monastery keeps plentiful historical relics, Buddhist scriptures arts, and crafts.

Later we drive to Sera monastery located 3 km from the northern suburb of Lhasa. It was founded in 1419 by Jamchen Choje-the founder of the Gelugpa Sect. Sera Monastery together with Ganden and Drepung in Lhasa are known as the three great monasteries of Tibet. Evening enjoy your own at your leisure or last-minute shopping

After breakfast we drive along the Brahmaputra (lifeline of Tibet)river toward Gyantse, through Yamdok-tso, Nakartse, Karola pass (5010m) then Gyantse. The afternoon is yours exploring Gyantse City or relaxing and acclimating at the hotel.

Start your day with a visit to the Palcho Monastery- located in Gyantse town which has a special influence on Tibet’s Buddhism owing to its being a unity of three different sects, Gelugpa, the Shakyapa and Bhutan sect, in one single monastery.

The tour continues to Kumbum Pagoda also known as 100,000 image pagoda which stands nine stories with 108 doors and 77 chapels containing clay sculptures and various murals.

Later we take a short drive through farmland to Shigatse. On arrival in Shigatse, we enjoy the tour of Panchen Lama’s Monastery Tashilumpu located in the town of Shigatse.

It is known as one of the most beautiful monasteries in Tibet with its giant statue standing 26 meters in height and 275kg of solid gold, and significant quantities of precious things such as pearls, turquoises, corals, and ambers. We continue our journey toward Tingri

After breakfast we drive through Young-la, then Lhatse after Lhatse we follow friendship highway toward Shekar passing through Gyatso-la (5220m). The drive continues through Mainpu, Paiku Tso then to Gryrong. Weather permitting one can view Mt Everest (8848m) Choyo (8201m) Shisapangma (8012m) en route.

After breakfast we complete the exit formalities of China then complete entry formalities in Nepal then drive to Kathmandu through the valley of Trishuli River, Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu, check in your hotel.

Enjoy a morning tour of Kathmandu. See the sights, including the Kathmandu Durbar (Palace) Square, Hanumandhoka, the temple of the living goddess, Kastamandap temple (the temple made from the wood of a single tree), Temple of Taleju, Kal Bhairab temple, the temple of Akash Bhairab, and tour continue to Swayambhunath stupa (one of the world’s biggest Buddhist stupa).

This afternoon visit Patan City. See Patan Durbar Square, including Krishna Mandir and more, and continue to Boudhanath stupa. The tour returns at approximately (5.30 p.m.).

This morning enjoy a tour of Bhaktapur including Durbar Square, the temple of 55 windows, the Lion Gate, the Golden Gate, the temple of Nyatapola, Dattatraya Square, and Potters Village.

The day at leisure and last-minute shopping or other optional activities. Tonight is our final get-together and we enjoy a special dinner with Nepalese dance and wine. Overnight in Kathmandu
