Day 1, Arrival Kathmandu

You will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2, Explore Kathmandu

This morning we take a short drive to Swayambhunath Stupa also known as the Monkey Temple. You will enjoy the widespread view of Kathmandu Valley and marvel at all the monkeys roaming around you! After a brief tour of Swayambhunath, we drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Here we visit the Temple of the Living Goddess Kumari, Kasthmandap Temple, Hanumandhoka Museum, Gaddi Baithak (formerly the meeting hall for diplomats during the kingdom), and other attractions. Lunch will be included at a restaurant in Durbar Square.

After lunch, we continue with a walking tour of Indra Chowk, and Ason, and continue to Thamel a tourist district with many hotels, guest houses, shops, and restaurants.

Day 3, Boudhnath and Bhaktapur

After breakfast, we check out from your hotel and take a short drive to Boudhanath Stupa, making Kora (a clockwise circumnavigation) of Boudhanath (the largest stupa in Nepal and the most iconic). Then we continue our tour of Bhaktapur, visiting Durbar Square, the Palace of 55 windows, Potter’s Square, Nyatapola Square, and Dattatraya Square. You can then enjoy a walking tour of the city on your own.

Day 4, Departure

Your Discover Kathmandu tour ends today after your breakfast. You will be transferred to the airport to meet your departing flight.
